The editorial-page editor of the Philadelphia Inquirer, Harold Jackson, and the Attytood blogger for the Philadelphia Daily News, Will Bunch, trade jabs over Jackson's hiring of torture-memo author John Yoo as a monthly columnist. (Both newspapers are owned by the same company, and are in the same building, so this is an unusual intramural fight.) The print journalist doesn't help his cause with some by-the-numbers blogger-bashing:
Unfortunately, most of the critics of our contract with Yoo have their facts wrong. But that happens when your information comes from those bloggers who never let the facts get in the way when they're trying to whip people into a frenzy to boost Web site hits. It's a shame that one blogger who disseminated poor information is actually a full-time journalist for a sister publication in The Inquirer building.
What -- no room for a joke about bloggers in pajamas?
